Jashn-e-Awadh is an Indian musical set in the golden era of Awadh, tracing the life of its last Nawab, Wajid Ali Shah, a ruler celebrated for his patronage of the arts, poetry, and Kathak dance. Journey to the fabled city of Lucknow, a world of nazakat and nafasat, elegance and refinement, where nawabs held court amid music, verse, and dance, and every gesture carried centuries of tradition. Through soul-stirring live music, evocative choreography, and vivid storytelling, the show brings together the grandeur of the Nawabi courts, the splendour of Awadhi culture, and the timeless charm of a bygone Lucknow. This Diwali season, Malhaar presents its most spectacular staging yet, featuring 50+ artistes for an unforgettable evening at Rajmahal Theatre.
